Born in De Aar and matriculated at De Aar High School in 1975 after 2 years military training started studies in 1978 at Free State University. Obtained the degree B.Juris in 1980 and LL.B in 1983.
Admitted as Attorney and Conveyancer in January 1986 and as Notary Public in February 1986.
Joined Du Plessis - Viviers in January 1986. Qualified as Property Valuer in 2008.
